On February 9th, Boardwalk Porsche will give customers in North Dallas their first opportunity to see the seventh generation, the 2012 Porsche 911.
There have only been six generations of the 911 in its illustrious 48-year history. On February 9th, Boardwalk Porsche will give customers in North Dallas their first opportunity to see the seventh generation, the 2012 Porsche 911.
It is more than the next 911. It’s Porsche’s vision for the future of the sports car, as evidenced by even more power from less fuel. Proving once again that despite over 60 years of making history, it’s making history, yet again. “The 911 has become a cultural icon of performance and we are excited to share the new 2012 Porsche 911 with all of our customers in Dallas,” said Mike Marsh, General Manager of Boardwalk Porsche.
From every angle, it is unmistakably a 911, holding true to the Porsche 911 Carrera “evolution, not revolution” design philosophy. No fewer than 90% of the components of the 911 are either new or have been fundamentally revised. This is Porsche’s approach to the preservation of tradition.
The extended wheelbase now has an additional inch more of leg room in the front than in previous 911 models. Sportiness in harmony with comfort is the theme reflected in the clever ergonomics that characterize the entire interior design. The materials used, the layout of the controls and their operating logic belong to a new generation of sports car. Another new design for the new 911 is the elevated center console. Its intelligent operating concept follows a clear principle of direct simplicity.
The first new 911 models will arrive at Boardwalk Porsche beginning in February of 2012. Brian Ongaro, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Boardwalk Auto Group said, “The demand for the new 2012 Porsche 911 in Dallas is unprecedented and we look forward to serving Dallas and the surrounding communities with the ultimate Boardwalk Porsche customer experience.”

The first thing you notice is that the 2012 Beetle still has that iconic VW “Bug” appearance, but it’s much improved. They flattened its roof, lowered its stance, and made it a little wider and a little bit longer. All of the VW dealers were pulling out their camera phones to take pictures of this new beauty that starts at less than $19k. Once inside the car you realize that this was a complete remake. The dashboard had a carbon-fiber appearance and three gauges mounted on top of the dash gave it an exotic car feel. The new Beetle offers Bluetooth technology, keyless access with a cool push-button start. Wait until you see the new multi-color ambient lighting inside! The new Fender Audio System will absolutely blow you away. The clarity at every volume level is the best I’ve ever heard in any vehicle.
You can pre-order a new 2012 right now and they tell us the first cars will arrive in September. We will have a base model and a turbo-charged version in our showrooms in mid-September. Beetle owners like to customize their cars and this model will offer a lot of options to make it your own. From various wheel options to some really interesting graphic wraps this car will definitely draw a lot of attention as it rolls down the Dallas Tollway!
The 21st Century Beetle arrives in dealer showrooms this September, and you have the coveted opportunity to own one of 600 Black Turbo launch edition models. All it takes is a $495 fully refundable reservation fee that goes toward your future Beetle purchase. You can pre-order the 2012 VW Black Turbo launch edition at http://preorder.vw.com.
Automobile retailing is among the most complex processes on the business landscape. Its components and dynamics—buying, selling, sourcing, service, technical expertise, and relationship building—are constantly in flux. That’s why it takes a unique set of skills to manage its intricacies and implement strategies to effectively grapple with its challenges. As vice president of sales and marketing for Boardwalk Auto Group, Brian Ongaro possesses those uncommon capabilities.
Brian Ongaro joined Boardwalk Auto Group on the heels of directing a Columbus, Ohio-based dealership group that included Lamborghini among its nameplates. But like Boardwalk Founder Scott Ginsburg, the weight of Ongaro’s experience was earned in broadcast media. After joining Ginsburg at Chancellor Media Corporation in 1997, Ongaro was appointed executive vice president and market manager of AMFM, Inc.’s station group in Dallas–the nation’s fifth largest market in terms of revenue. In 2002, he was tapped as the executive vice president for CBS Radio, overseeing their large markets radio stations in the western region.
With 28 years in broadcast management, Ongaro brings a wealth of organizational management and innovative marketing experience to Boardwalk. “I’m going to examine the entire Boardwalk sales process to determine how we can make it a greater overall experience for each customer,” he says.
His focus will be on the abundance of rapidly developing opportunities in the digital space, especially in social networks connected via portable devices. He will also be focused on reputation-marketing strategies to rapidly address customer concerns. “There are a lot of other unique opportunities that haven’t been adequately explored yet,” he adds.
A native of Columbus, Ohio, and a graduate of Ohio State University, Ongaro’s business philosophy is focused on taking care of customers. Ongaro wants to make Boardwalk Auto Group the first place people think of when they are considering buying or servicing their car. Exceeding expectations is the goal. He also wants to be recognized as one of the best places to work in DFW.
