Boardwalk Auto Group’s Hot Summer Nights Car Show to Benefit Camp Sweeney was our largest to date Saturday, June 16, 2012 in Plano, Texas. All of the proceeds went to Camp Sweeney located in Gainesville, Texas benefiting children with diabetes. Our next Hot Summers Nights Car Show will be Saturday, July 21 from 6 pm – 9 pm so mark your calendars.

Boardwalk Audi has earned the 2011 Audi Magna Society Award

Audi identified its top performing U.S. dealerships throughout 2011, a year that saw the brand and its retail partners post record sales results. Boardwalk Audi has earned the prestigious 2011 Audi Magna Society Award recognizing the Top Audi Dealers in the U.S.

Audi reports best U.S. February sales in its history; 14th consecutive record-setting month

  • New vehicle sales up 10% vs. February 2011, and an increase of 14.9% YTD growth compared to 2011
  • Sales propelled by demand for top two premium categories, representing more than 25% of the sales mix, and strong TDI® clean diesel sales
  • Certified Pre-Owned sales of 2,865 vehicles marks second-best February on record, an increase of 11.2% over the same period in 2011

Audi reported its 14th straight record-setting month of sales with 8,531 luxury vehicles sold in February 2012. The results surpassed the prior February record set in 2011 by 778 vehicles. Closing in on a promising first quarter, year-over-year vehicle sales increased 10% over February 2011, and recorded 14.9% year-to-date growth compared to 2011.

“Audi continues to lead the high-end sector of the luxury car market in the U.S. Our superior lineup boasts the most technologically advanced and exceptionally engineered vehicles that Audi has ever produced,” said Audi of America President Johan de Nysschen. “We are optimistic that Audi is on track to make 2012 another banner year for the company.”

February results were buoyed by strong performance in the top two premium categories, with sales for the Audi A6 increasing 63.6% over 2011, and continued strong sales of 584 vehicles for the design-forward Audi A7, which was launched in the U.S. market in April 2011.

Other highlights include:

  • February 2012 ranks as the best February in Audi of America history, eclipsing the previous record set last year.
  • 2012 Audi A6 sales up 63.6%, compared to February 2011.
  • Audi A3 sales up 21.5%, compared to February 2011.
  • Sales of Audi Q5 increased 14%, compared to February 2011; Audi Q7 inventory extremely limited due to low supply.
  • Audi TT sales up 15.2% vs. February 2011, boosted by increased demand for the Audi TT Coupe.
  • Sales mix for Audi TDI clean diesel models finished the month at 53.9% for the A3 TDI on 253 TDI models sold, and 36.7% for the supply restricted Q7 TDI on 137 models sold.
  • Audi Certified pre-owned sales of 2,865 vehicles mark an increase of 11.2%, compared to the same period in 2011; Southern and Western regions set new all-time records for February.
  • For the record-setting month of February 2012, three Audi models recorded year-over-year sales increases of 15% or more, including the Audi A3, the Audi A6, and the Audi TT models.

Roshan’s new ride by Lamborghini Dallas + Friends

Mr. and Mrs. Gandhi, it was our pleasure to do this for Roshan at Hightower Elementary. All of us knew that Roshan loves Lamborghinis and watching his expressions will last a lifetime! Thank you for the opportunity to let us be a part of your lives.

We also want to note that there were many others that helped out in this special project, along with Lamborghini Dallas. Michael Luongo our Shop Foreman here at Lamborghini Dallas, Thomas Liu with New Concepts Paint & Body who provided the Giallo Midas, Tri Coat yellow, Stuart Singer with Stuart’s Paint and Body who provided the custom “Lambo” book box, Houston Ozona with Statosheild Custom who provided the 3M Clear Shield, Mark Plummer, Parts Director at Lamborghini Dallas, Delanie Doyle, Special Events Coordinator with Boardwalk Auto Group, and Tim Mckenna, GM at Lamborghini Dallas were all a great help as well.

Boardwalk Audi 2012 A6 Launch Event – June 29, 2011

It was a packed house at the Boardwalk Audi 2012 A6 Launch Event June 29th in Plano, Texas. From the sushi and taco bar catered by A Fiore, to the hand-rolled cigars, good drinks and music, the completely new Audi A6 was the true star of the show. Actually, the true “stars” of the show were the 300+ guests who mingled with some of the coolest people in Dallas.

It was a hot night both inside and outside of Boardwalk Audi. A special thank you goes to Modern Luxury Dallas and our very special clients who made the evening a night to remember. Luxury has progressed.

Lamborghini's New Flagship Launched with Italian Bravura

Lamborghini unveils a new flagship once every decade and, in recognition of this, chose Rome as the host city for the international dynamic launch of the new Aventador LP 700-4. Various venues in Roma Capitale – the city’s moniker during this year’s celebration of 150 years of Italian unification – served as key locations as more than 150 international journalists and 200 dealership executives joined Lamborghini to experience this new product.

North American media (April 28-30) and dealers (May 5-7) were treated to similar programs during their stay.

Upon arriving in Rome, guests were chauffeured to the Westin Excelsior Hotel, where they would spend the next two nights. Later that evening Lamborghini executives hosted a cocktail hour and informal dinner.

The following morning, guests were shuttled to Autodromo di Vallelunga “Piero Taruffi” racing circuit for classroom workshops and track driving. The day’s events began with a plenary meeting which included introductions of Lamborghini management and engineering team leaders.

On the track, drivers received plenty of seat-time in the new Aventador, experiencing its amazing power-to-weight ratio and precise handling. In the classroom, guests learned about the vehicle’s carbon fiber monocoque, V12 engine, ISR transmission, pushrod suspension and available features.

Evening festivities included a guided walking tour through Rome on the way to a Gala dinner. Famous V12 models were on display throughout the walk, including a Miura, Countach and Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce. A temporary Collezione Lamborghini store, open to the public from April 21 to May 8, was established inside Scuderie Ruspoli, along the route.

The walk culminated at Chiostro del Bramante, a courtyard commissioned in 1500 which features Raffael’s Le Sibille fresco. Guests dined in the courtyard and strolled through adjoining rooms featuring a temporary museum dedicated to Lamborghini; La Forza del Toro. A collection of historic Lamborghini documents and photographs were on display along with a selection of engines including the Aventador’s clean-sheet, 700-horsepower V12 engine.

At the dealer reception, Lamborghini America COO Wolfgang Hoffmann addressed North American dealers, and guests were treated to a fashion show featuring the newest Collezione items. Grounded in the past – and with a full view of the future – the Lamborghini Aventador was presented to the public with an energy and backdrop that only Roma Capitale could provide.
